Housing Opportunities
Wales & West Housing Association (WWHA) provides a wide choice of quality homes. We have 9000 properties in different locations throughout Wales.
A lot of people think that WWHA only helps homeless people and those who cannot afford to buy. The truth is that we let our properties to a wide range of people from older people who no longer want the worry of home ownership to families and young people who choose not to be tied down to a mortgage.
We want to make sure that everyone is aware of our housing services and we are committed to ensuring that they are accessed by all sectors of the community.
Rented accommodation
- General accommodation – We have flats, bungalows, maisonettes and houses which are suitable for families, couples and single people. They vary in size from 1 bedroom to 4 bedrooms, although we only have a limited number of 4 bedroom houses.
- Sheltered accommodation – We have bedsits, flats and bungalows which are for single people or couples who are over 60 years old (or over 55 years old if you have a medical need). This allows older people to lead an independent life in the community whilst having an element of support such as an emergency alarm or a scheme manager. Some schemes offer communal facilities such as a communal sitting room or a laundry
Home ownership
- We have accommodation which is similar to the sheltered accommodation (above) but where the accommodation is purchased.
So how do I apply?
If you are interested in becoming a WWHA resident and living in one of our properties, please contact the Customer Service Centre on 0870 013 1930.
We are a member of language line which means we can arrange for telephone calls to be interpreted – we will meet the cost. You can request information in another language and we will endeavour to translate this information, wherever appropriate. For example, you can request an application form in your first language.
Employment Opportunities
Wales & West Housing Association also employs approximately 320 staff in areas throughout Wales where we own and manage stock. We are an equal opportunities employer and want all sectors of the community to feel encouraged to apply for our jobs when they have the necessary skills to do so.
