All our schemes are managed by a designated Home Ownership Unit (HOU) who provide an exclusive service to all owner occupiers managed by WWHA. The unit is managed by the Home Ownership Manager and supported by a Home Ownership Officer, who visits the schemes on a regular basis. On the property services side, the unit is supported by an Asset Management Officer, who will make sure that the schemes are maintained to a high level.
Our schemes vary in size from 18 units to 44 units, with most having the support of a residential Scheme Manager. Whilst most of the schemes offer 1 or 2 bedroom flats, we currently manage two schemes which are a mix of flats and bungalows and other schemes that are a mix of flats and houses.
Every scheme is individual, but most benefit from well maintained communal gardens, free car parking, communal laundry, guest bedroom facility and 24 hour emergency alarm cover. Owners pay an annual service charge for the Association’s management services, which will include day to day repairs, heating and lighting costs for the communal areas, ground maintenance services, Scheme Managers' costs (where applicable), access to the emergency alarm service, water rates (some schemes only) and annual maintenance of heating systems, lifts and fire safety equipment. Residents are free to enjoy a full and independent life in the knowledge that if anything goes wrong there is a friendly helping hand close by.
If you are interested in buying a Retirement for Sale property contact the HOU for a Properties for Sale list.
The HOU also manages WWHA's 600+ right to buy leaseholds and administers the Right to Buy (RTB) and Right to Acquire (RTA) applications. Details of these schemes can be found by clicking on the links below:

The Scheme Manager’s Service
The residential Scheme Manager service is provided in most schemes with the manager working from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm Monday to Friday. When the manager is not on duty, the scheme is supported by the Customer Service Centre based in Cardiff, who will respond to any emergency call and make sure that problems are dealt with quickly and efficiently.
Scheme Managers will make regular contact with all residents, either on a daily basis or another arrangement agreed with the resident. Where residents are unwell, or just returned home from hospital, the Scheme Manager will provide temporary support giving general assistance of a neighbourly kind, until such time that support from family, friends or other agencies can be obtained.
Our Scheme Managers will also help to arrange social events for residents, such as day trips, Christmas parties, special birthday parties and many other activities.
For more information about our Scheme Managers and the services they provide contact the HOU.
